Some might say that hip-hop and jewelry are of the hand, everywhere in today’s culture. thick ropes of gold, very expensive diamond earrings, gold teeth flashy cars custom output fully covered, and yes, even giant collars are named or shown in the rappers and most successful MCs.
Rap movement has its roots in the 1970s but really took off in the 80s. The timetable for the hip hop jewelry was perfect to combine forces. MTV began broadcasting music videos brilliantly, and other hip-hop artists could show their bling in this way. A summit of the gold watch or a name necklace heavy drapes the neck of a rapper was an easy way to maintain a culture that is becoming increasingly visual in music.
Jewelry has focused not only differ from the others. Many believe that rappers wore expensive clothes, wearing jewelry and other items that were purchased clearly defined wealth as a sign of failure and success. The artists of the 1980s hip-hop, most were African American, praised the wealth as a sign of change and racial unity black-a way of overcoming the stereotype of the black poor has failed to change its status. Instead, the young rapper could show viewers and others who turn to them as role models that wealth has produced serious, even coming from very humble and poor.
many rappers are “criminals”, is the Fund, of neighborhoods marked by violence and drugs. Sometimes the only way to survive in these communities is the adoption of a reputation to intimidate. While the hip-hop is the overall picture, sometimes they were, and still use, expensive jewelry as a tribute to the 1940s and 50 mentality of wealth and the crowd reputation. In essence, the gangster rappers themselves in the past. The use of a name necklace could further boost the “street cred”, the legitimacy of the renowned gangster rapper. A collar name was and still is a way to brag about the new found wealth and fame.
Like any other crop that is considered too much emphasis on success, hip-hop fashion has had its detractors. Some critics of hip hop are apparently indulgent ways African-American leaders who deplore rap is sometimes sexist messages and game money. Other watches are hip hop artists themselves, who lament the future of rap and hatred of the visible signs of wealth, does include the silver necklace and diamond-laced spinning the name of what we see TV. Old school (hip-hop MCs around 1979-1985) and other rap stars often criticize the abundance of bling in hip-hop culture, arguing that it creates a precedent for the poor children who aspire Black are strongly influenced by the message of quick rich.
hip-hop fashion, regardless of promoters or detractors, is still evolving. Some rappers, like P-Diddy and Jay-Z, have focused on culture and fashion jewelry, and jewelry created or clothing lines that appeal to hip-hop crowd. Does this mean the end of tire of $ 20,000 and the name of ten beads in the hotel? Time will tell.
