I want to sell some gold earrings with diamonds in them…will I only get paid for the gold?

I have 2 pairs of earrings. One is white gold with small circles 3 small diamonds on each. Purchased in 450. 00. I have a little more than 24K gold earrings (still on the small side) with 6 small diamonds in them, all channels. They were a gift, so I am concerned about the initial cost. I know that gold is at its highest, but then I expect to sell gold and diamonds or will I only get paid for the gold?

I think your question regards sending your gold to a gold reclaimer dealer via mail – and asking if you should remove the stones (diamonds) And I shall tell you that any stones that you send will be theirs and they will NOT pay you for them. If you want the cash value for your gold jewelry – then remove the stones, but first take your jewelry to a pawn shop and ask them what they would give you to borrow for a loan (120 days) whatever the answer your jewelry is worth 80% more – that is if they offer to lend you 20.00 – the retail value of your stuff is $160.00. If you ask them how much they would give you if you just sold them – their answer would be $80.00 on a good day, on a bad day, maybe $45.00.
